In the 19th century, thousands of people from the parish of Ankum and the surrounding areas emigrated to North America or the Netherlands. Many of their descendants are now on the trail of their ancestors and we get requests to help them in their search.
The family research group of the local history society of Ankum enjoys studying the church records and we are happy to share information with you. Just write an email and we will try to help you with your family research.
